Sennie (SEN SPECIALIST NANNY/MANNY) for G12

 

Additional needs present: Autism, ADHD

 

Location: Oxfordshire, OX2

 

Wage / Salary: Approx £37,800 - £46,200 per annum gross

 

Driver: Not essential but preferred and car provided for Sennie if required

 

Live In/out: Live-Out or Live-In

 

Pets: None

 

Days & Hours:  

Term Time:

  • Monday to Friday - 7am - 8am and 3pm - 8pm

 

School Holidays:

  • Monday to Friday - 7am - 7pm

 

Additional hours available at the weekends, to be agreed in advance between the Family and Sennie.

 

Start Date: ASAP

 

Who would suit this role:

  • A compassionate and patient individual with a strong understanding of autism.
  • Someone with experience supporting children with similar needs, particularly in building independence, managing anxiety, and developing emotional regulation skills.
  • A Sennie who can create a calm, structured, and supportive environment while being adaptable to evolving strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, consistent guidance and engage in effective one-to-one interactions.
  • A creative and engaging approach to planning activities, fostering G12’s love of arts, crafts, and drawing while introducing her to new interests.
  • Experience managing demand avoidance and supporting children in navigating social dynamics.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm during escalated situations, building trust and guiding G12 through moments of frustration.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to collaborate with G12’s family and school to ensure cohesive support strategies.
  • Someone committed to helping a bright and creative young girl reach her potential while fostering her independence and confidence.
  • Strategies that the family currently use and would like the Sennie to continue to build upon, with additional training if required:

Weekly group,activities to support social interaction

Individual support sessions to support G12 self regulation / zones of regulation Use of visual timetables and preparation for transitions with appropriate breaks for movement and to support focus

Medication Management for ADHD and anxiety

Working alongside and able to continue at home therapies from Specialist inputs (i.e. occupational therapy, educational psychology)

Use of sensory toys, ear defenders, and adapting environments based on sensory needs.
